This book is a must read it tells the tale of early migrants settling in inner Melbourne, the community and companionship of growing up, and then the move to the Eastern suburbs, and the culture shock, she encountered.The relationship that she had with her parents and the wisdom and love from her Father, and support when she was pursuing her now career.I loved her journey to Greece and meeting her Grandmother, and going back to her roots. The heartbreak through her journey to become a mother,the trials of IVF and then to lose her beautiful daughter Stevie. The beautiful relationship and support from her husband, brother and adopted sister and friends, gave her strength.The outcome of the birth of her second perfect daughter, was a wonderful conclusion, to a book well written, but not indulgent in her losses.I am sure it would be an inspiration to those going through a similar journey. Keep the tissues nearby as they will be needed.Product details

It's so hard to imagine the pain that Mary describes so eloquently; but this is really a love story. A beautiful, sad love story.
Reading this made me get goosebumps, laugh, smile,cry and really feel like you are part of Mary's journey kind of like an old friend reminiscing. Such a brave women to share her personal heartfelt story and delve into the sometimes touchy subject of grief.
What a journey this couple have been on. I enjoyed this real life story immensly and could not put the book down. Having travelled somewhat the same with a family member I know the aguish and emotion involved. Mary I loved every word
A beautifully written account of the life of a funny well known Greek/Aussie girl. From childhood to maturity, through tragedy and joy, I got to know the heart of this beautiful lady. I just want to give her a big hug.
i found this book hard to read. i didnt realise mary coustas had so much heartache. made me feel sad.
